Sally Woolsey

Sally Woolsey has over 20 years of general management experience including executive roles in three Fortune 100 Companies. Additionally, she is a certified executive coach and has deep experience working with executive, senior, and middle managers of domestic and global companies. Sally specializes in personal executive effectiveness, leadership development, sales leadership, impactful communication at all levels of an organization, executive presence, leading and developing teams, and hi-potential women executives.

Leadership Experience

Before founding her executive coaching business in 2002, Sally served as Vice President, General Manager for Dell’s Preferred Accounts Division. As the GM, she was responsible for all aspects of this 7-billion-dollar business serving Dell’s small and medium business customers in the US. Prior to Dell, Sally was Vice President of Operations and Technology for the Citigroup Global Consumer Bank. She led a global restructuring that included business process redesign, consolidation and optimization of sites, and strategic outsourcing of operations. Her career began at FedEx where Sally started as a delivery and pickup courier working her way through college. 15 years and several US cities later, she was Vice President of Sales and Operations for the Mid-Atlantic region. There she was responsible for 9,000 employees, revenues of over 2 billion and an expense base of $500 million. In all these positions, Sally was responsible for the development and execution of strategy for business units as well as leading large teams in reaching a variety of corporate objectives including quarterly sales objectives, profitability, growth, market share, service levels and employee satisfaction. Throughout her various leadership positions, Sally’s passion has remained constant –the development of talent at all levels of the organization. Upon her departure from Dell, The Dell’s Women’s Networking Group established “The Sally Woolsey Award” to honor those who are “committed to the development and inspiration of Women at Dell”.

Education and Affiliations

Sally holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Denver. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from California State University, Sacramento. She has completed coach training at the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and has achieved Professional Coach Certification from the International Coach Federation.

Instrument Certifications and Trainings

Sally is a certified Emotional Intelligence coach. Certification in Conversational Intelligence is underway. She is also trained in a number of assessment tools including Kolbe, Hogan, Energy Leadership Index, and Insights.
