Becky has over 25 years of professional experience including organizational consulting, coaching executives, behavioral science research, and teaching. In 2002 she started Turner Consulting Group LLC in San Francisco where she provides coaching for leaders with new demands on their performance, challenges with culture fit, and team coaching for a variety of goals such as increasing collaboration, managing conflicts, managing performance, or developing leadership presence. Her process includes assessment, goal development, action plans, implementation and evaluation of results. What differentiates Turner Consulting Group is (1) careful attention to set up projects so they will succeed and (2) measurement of the results achieved. Given many years as an applied researcher, Becky is strong in developing approaches to assessment and integration of data to address leaders’ most pressing challenges. She is known for getting results in extremely challenging organizational settings. She helps CEOs and other leaders to develop their teams so that their organizations can deliver results and create greater company value. The majority of Becky’s clients are in financial services, healthcare, and technology organizations.

Becky was a faculty member and principal investigator for scientific studies in health and behavior at University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. She also spent two decades as a professor at California School of Professional Psychology (Organizational Psychology Program) in San Francisco, where she taught graduate courses in executive coaching, team development and organizational assessment, and was Director of two different programs.

Leadership Experience

Becky has served as Director of Research and Director of Academic Programs at University of California, San Francisco and CSPP. She has served as Chair of a City Board in San Francisco and Board Member for two non-profit organizations.

Speaking and Research

Becky has numerous peer-reviewed publications on coaching and organizational development. She offers speaking engagements on building organizational culture, motivating employees, and executive presence among other topics.

Education and Affiliations

In 2016, Becky was elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society of Consulting Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology from The George Washington University and in the early ’90s was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University.
