Linda Shaffer-Vanaria is a thought leader, executive coach, consultant and speaker working internationally with some of the world’s finest companies. She is the CEO and founder of Enterprise Coaching of Carlsbad based in San Diego. She is an expert on blueprinting instinct and decisive engagement for Edge Performance and has created models and concepts that enable those leaders and companies she works with to expand their envelope.
Linda has 16 years of experience in learning, development and performance growth and has worked with a wide range of businesses across many industries. She works with business enterprises and leaders crossing corporate, non-profit, government and military. Linda has personally coached approximately a thousand leaders across all ages and leadership levels.
Linda has been the lead coach on two large-scale government coaching initiatives. One of the initiatives was benchmarked as a government best practice and she was invited with the client to speak at the ASTD Conference in 2009 on the measurable results and best practices. Linda was a U.S. Naval Test Pilot and one of the first women to command an operational squadron. She was the director of the U.S. Naval Leader Training Unit. Following her tenure in the U.S. Navy she worked for Royal Dutch Shell as a change agent on their global Leadership and Performance (LEAP) team.
Linda has extensive experience working with leaders in operational arenas helping them to innovate and evolve their mindset and best practices to optimize and leverage their performance with competing priorities, ambiguities and uncertainties so they can move with confidence into uncharted territory.
Linda holds a B.S.E. degree in Systems Science Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania Engineering School and in 1994, was selected as a distinguished graduate, the first woman and the ninth graduate in 20 years to be so honored. Linda also holds an M.S. degree in Aviation Systems from the University of Tennessee. She is a graduate of both the U.S. Naval War College and U.S. Naval Test Pilot School.
Linda served as one of the key leaders interviewed and quoted on the topics of mission and passion in the book 8 Leadership Tips from Real Leaders.
Linda authored the book Piloting Your Edge: Your Edge Performance Operator’s Manual which is about creating a powerful mindset to connect to Edge outcomes.
One of Linda’s Edge Performance concepts, the mastery of “soft focus”, was featured in the book Leading Organizations from the Inside Out.
She was a featured leader in the chapter “Crossing Over: Leadership That Makes Others Want to Follow” from the book Enlightened Power: How Women are Transforming the Practice of Leadership.
